Page Gardner, Founder and President, Women’s Voices. Women Vote

The year 2009 began with an energized progressive base and a great sense of hope for social and economic change. However, by early 2010, that sense of hope has been replaced by frustration and anger as health care and financial reform legislation continues to languish in Congress and unemployment grows. This, in addition to the rise of the “Tea Party” movement, has serious implications for moving a progressive legislative agenda.

Please join us for this important call with political consultant and author, Mike Lux, Joan Fitz-Gerald from America Votes, and Page Gardner from Women’s Voices. Women Vote, to learn more about the electoral and political landscape for 2010. Our speakers will address critical issues such as voter apathy, drop-off voters, the rise of the right-wing, and most importantly, what we can do to turn this tide.
