Together with members and staff, we’re asking critical questions – How do you envision what WDN should be? Should WDN be more outward or inward focused? How can WDN have a greater impact in and with the progressive movement?

WDN’s new strategic plan will focus on the next five years, and key issues we will address include
- An expanded membership, currently numbering nearly 170;
- Extensive programming, covering a wide range of progressive issues;
- The development and implementation of a series of Action Fund grants designed to contribute meaningfully to building a progressive infrastructure; and
- The identification of opportunities for collaborative funding and activism where WDN could really make a difference.
Our planning discussions have been rich and rewarding thus far, and we especially want to thank the WDNers who have offered their time and their input in this important process.
- Managed growth of our membership
- Development of a plan for sustainability
- A more active role in the progressive movement
We look forward to sharing our new strategic plan with you which we will be presenting at our November conference in Boston.
