Please join us in Santa Fe as we view Race: the Power of an Illusion. We were first introduced to this 3-part PBS special at our 2009 Annual Conference in New Orleans where our fabulous panelist Kimberlé Crenshaw showed us a clip of the film and inspired us to action. Spurred on by the interest of so many conference attendees, WDN has purchased the film and will be showing it through our Racial Justice Working Group as part of their 2010 programming.

We plan to watch this series in segments and have discussion between each. We hope to focus not only on the content of the film but also on the ways in which we can continue our education effort around the important issues discussed within it through a series of viewings and a formal curriculum. It is this kind of critical thinking and group interaction that makes WDN such a creative and forward thinking organization.
