Experiencing Montana:
Activist Solutions toward Environmental Justice
Organized in partnership with The Indigo Girls, Honor the Earth, our own WDN members from Montana, WDN’s Earth Circle, and our Racial Justice Working Group
Thursday, June 3 through Sunday, June 6
What are the real impacts of our environmental politics on native families and communities? How are activists and organizers promoting positive solutions that address the many threats to their health and way of life?
The Women Donors Network traveled to beautiful Montana to participate in a unique opportunity for on-the-ground learning, small group discussions with experts and activists, and action planning around serious problems that so many of us care deeply about – institutionalized racism; the commodification of land, water, energy and air; unresponsive, unaccountable government policies and regulation; and lack of resources and power in affected communities.
