Lisa Farmer is Principal and Founder of LMF Advisors, a political and non-profit advisory firm that provides strategy consulting and fundraising services. Over the last two decades, Lisa has advised numerous candidates for elected office at the municipal, state and national level, Boards of Directors, Founders, Executive Directors, social justice non-profit teams and volunteers on how to define and attain their world-changing goals through philanthropy and activism. Currently Lisa serves on the Board of Directors of Emerge America as the Co-Chair of Board Development Committee; she is a Trustee at the Katherine Delmar Burke School; a member of the Emergent Fund Advisory Council; and also serves as Chair of the Board for SMART, an education access non-profit. Lisa joined the Women Donors Network in 2019 and joined the Board of Directors in 2021. Lisa grew up in NYC and graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Women’s Studies. She lived and worked in Boston until relocating to San Francisco in 2011, where she now lives with her husband and two daughters. In their spare time Lisa’s family travels often, eats everything and plays outside with family and friends.
