Summer Migliori Soto (she/they)

Programs & Initiatives Manager

Summer joined the WDN team as an intern in 2017 and now co-leads WDN’s donor-involved grantmaking initiatives. She cultivates strong relationships with grantees, drives 501(c)(3) resources to the field, and designs impact-centered programs to uplift movement partners and our members’ expertise and promote trust-based practices that truly shift power. She is an unabashedly AuDHD (autistic/ADHD) leader passionate about donor activism, creative storytelling, and movement building and resourcing.

Born and raised in Stockton, CA, Summer served as Editor-in-Chief for Placeholder Magazine – an arts and community organizing nonprofit – prior to joining WDN. A lifelong learner, Summer is a first-generation college graduate with a B.A. in English and Media Studies from UC Berkeley and holds eight Associate Degrees from San Joaquin Delta College (for “fun”).

She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two cats (who frequently attend her Zoom meetings) and enjoys going to shows, reading, dancing, crocheting, catching up on reality TV, and immersing herself in her special interests.
