WDN named a Gender Justice Champion by Equal Rights Associates

Last Friday, Equal Rights Associates (ERA) honored WDN for our early support of their Stronger California Advocates Network, which launched in 2015. Stronger California’s goal was to create a legislative agenda that improved the economic security of millions of Californians while influencing other states across the country with bold policy reforms to help women and families build assets, access affordable child care, and thrive in safe, fair, and family-friendly workplaces.

Make It Work: An Exciting New Campaign on Women’s Economic Security

WDN has signed on as a founding partner in an exciting new campaign called Make It Work, a national, three-year effort to change culture and policy around some key economic issues that affect all women and disproportionately impact women and low-income communities of color: equal pay, family and work, and caregiving. Make It Work will be a multi-year effort led by Vivien Labaton, Tracy Sturdivant, and Ai-jen Poo, and will bring together UltraViolet, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, MomsRising, Family Values @ Work, and other leaders working on issues of economic justice.
