Congratulations to UltraViolet for ten years of breaking boundaries and winning change across politics, government, media, and pop culture. You are building a world that represents all women and we are deeply proud that you honored us as a Founding Mother.

UltraViolet holds a special place in WDN’s history. Ten years ago UltraViolet’s Co-Founders Shaunna Thomas and Nita Chaudhary came to us with the idea of building an inter-issue digital organizing hub for feminists to bolster grassroots movements, incubate and accelerate new ideas, and bolster power.

As funders, we knew that we wanted to be nimble, provide general operating support, and hand decision-making to women on the ground who best knew what was needed. We signed on as a majority seed funder and as a partner. Over the past decade, we’ve continued to fund UltraViolet’s innovative work and to remain deeply committed to our mutual partnership and to our shared vision of a country and a world where women – and everyone – can thrive.

Thank you, UltraViolet! We look forward to the next ten years together.
